Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Continental Rotation - 0800-2000/2000-0800
Payrate: $18.94/hour

Schedule Example:
  • Week 1 - 0800-2000 - 4 Days (Mon-Tues, Fri-Sat)
  • Week 2 - 0800-2000 - 3 Days (Sun, Wed-Thurs)
  • Week 3 - 2000-0800 - 4 Days (Mon-Tues, Fri-Sat)
  • Week 4 - 2000-0800 - 3 Days (Sun, Wed-Thurs)
  • Note: The schedule remains the same month-to-month
Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
  • Compassion, empathy, and a desire to work in a health care environment
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
  • A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
    • Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
  • Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of non-healthcare security experience required
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
  • Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair
  • Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and Bancroft)
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
    • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position. If choosing to opt in, applicants must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
    • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
