This is a permanent positionAccountabilities:In this role you will:
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance and Project teams to develop and optimize service strategies to monitor and manage the performance, integrity, safety and reliability of assets ensuring cost-effective lifecycle management.
- Perform FMEAs and reliability studies to support development and implementation of solutions to optimize asset performance.
- Collaborate with management teams and key stakeholders in development of asset budgets as well as production and maintenance multi annual plans.
- Develop loss profile and associated routines including conducting root cause analysis on critical failures and chronic bad actor assets.
- Management of master data for critical assets including setting service strategy and monitoring/evaluating/escalating risks associated with maintenance on the assets.
- Identify critical spare parts required for assets and develop associated Bills of Materials.
- Evaluate life-cycle costs and determine the best scenarios for minimizing the impact of the asset maintenance costs and optimizing the assets utilization.
- Monitor and drive improvement opportunities on asset maintenance.
- Develop, standardize and share knowledge on best practices through the operations
- Undergraduate degree required (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Civil/Structural).
- PEng. certification or eligible for licensed professional Engineer in Ontario
- Reliability or Maintenance Management designations are preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a reliability or maintenance related role in heavy industry such as Mining, Pulp & Paper or Oil & Gas.
- Other combinations of education and experience in Maintenance and Reliability will be considered.
- Experience with developing asset service strategies and improving reliability of assets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in leading and participating in root cause analysis using 5Why's, fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, etc.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Software skills in of MS Office products and CMMS systems (SAP).
