Here are a few ways you will make a difference:

  • Reviewing and providing feedback to Officers with regards to Investigations and Inspection to best administer and enforce the Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Ability to create professional relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to create strong working relationships with other jurisdictional regulatory committees
  • Collaboration between the Iqaluit and Yellowknife offices focusing on common practices.
  • Manage the financial budget for the Iqaluit office.
  • Ensure goals are set and maintained to meet corporate Strategic Plan.

What you bring to the role:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Degree or certification from a recognized institution and Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation with;
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive related industrial experience
  • Minimum three (3) years recent progressive management experience at a senior level
  • Valid class 5 drivers license is required.
  • Ability to analyze data and determine correct path forward.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to analyze research and interpret legislation and standards as they apply to various industries and or work practices.
