Warehouse Forklift Operator

Kitchener, ON

We are actively hiring for immediate full time Forklift operators for a warehouse facility in Kitchener. Successful candidates will have previous forklift and warehouse experience. This is a hands-on position with a top independent plumbing/HVAC wholesaler in Ontario, that has supplied for over 50 years.

Wage: $22.00/hr. + shift premium for afternoon

Available Shift: Afternoons 2:00 p.m - 10:30 p.m, Monday-Friday

Job Description:

• Picking and moving products with the use of various forklifts including but not limited to; reach truck, platform picker, walkie or pump carts
• Use of RF scanner on warehouse floor to maintain and evaluate inventory
• Picking orders with accuracy and verifying quantities prior to packing into containers
• Assist in Receiving, Shipping and Transfer departments
• Maintain clean workspace and general labour duties as required

Job Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience required (1-3 years preferred)
• Previous forklift experience considered a high asset (reach truck, platform picker, to motor)
• Comfortable with physical work, with ability to lift, carry and move large, awkward and/or heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
• High verbal and oral fluency in English with strong understanding of computers
• Prior plumbing or HVAC industry experience and product knowledge an
• Ability to work overtime as required
