Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Location: Glenburnie, On
Salary: $31.43/hr
Shift: Irregular on-call—WEEKEND AVAILABILITY
Job Description:
• Providing nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
• Creating a comfortable and safe environment that provides opportunities for privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence and individuality, and maintenance of personal lifestyle and values.
• Demonstrating professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care
• Liaising with medical team members, nurse specialists, and consultants in an effort to support effective clinical care for all residents.
• Assist in general health care including cleanliness, grooming, rest, nourishment, therapy
• Administer medications, treatments and nursing care within scope according to appropriate guidelines and policies including CNO, LTCA and the homes policies and procedures
• Assist in assessment of needs and development of care plan
• Completion of documents as per duties
• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the Gentlecare Philosophy
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Unrestricted Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as RPN
• Successful completion of Medication Administration for RPN's.
• Valid CPR
• TB test
• Proof of Covid Vaccinations (3)
• Solid communication skills both written and verbal
• Basic computer knowledge
• Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen
