Job Title: Dispatcher
Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm Monday – Friday
Rate of Pay: $22.00 – 26.00 / hour - based on experience
Location: Milton, Ontario - James Snow Parkway & Regional Rd 25
We are hiring for a day-shift dispatcher for our client in Milton! This company transports refrigerated products across Ontario. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced dispatching role. Candidates must have a valid license and vehicle to commute to work as the facility is not transit accessible. We are looking for candidates who can interview and start working immediately! This is a temporary to permanent hire opportunity.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Answering incoming calls and responding to emails from customers in a timely manner
- Entering new orders into WMS ensuring proper data entry
- Tracking drivers using GPS to monitor deliveries and provide updates to customers
- Communicating with brokers, drivers, and customers
- Ensuring successful delivery and receipt of goods to and from all customers
- Coordinate and expedite rush-order and regular shipments
- Review delivery schedules and solve any logistical problems that arise (traffic, absences, mechanical issues, etc.)
- Ensure safety procedures and company policies are being followed by drivers
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced dispatching role
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
- Strong time management, ability to stay organized under pressure
- Previous experience with Courier Complete and Fleet Complete is an asset
- Computer literate and comfortable using MS Office
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle to commute to work as the facility is not transit accessible
