St. Clare's Mercy Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary Member
The Auxiliary has supported staff and the community through the provision of volunteer services and fundraising activities that support the purchase of medical equipment and the delivery of quality patient care. Recent fundraising efforts have supported the purchase of patient comfort items such as televisions, DVD players, medical equipment and more.
Program/Department Details:
Auxiliary Members commit to attending a monthly Board meeting at St. Clare's Mery Hospital. Most additional responsibilities can be competed from home or online.
Assignment Summary:
Volunteers in this position will work with the other Auxiliary members and the Volunteer Coordinator to oversee operation of the Gift Shop and Volunteers statistics within the hospital. As well as fundraising and advocating for the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this may assignment include:
" Attend monthly meetings held at St. Clare's Hospital
" Work as a team with other Auxiliary Members
" Help with stock taking once a year
" Provide ideas to help with the Gift Shop sales and other items
" Participating in fundraising activities, such as bake / book / and ticket sales
" Volunteer can run for secretary if they wish
" Volunteer can run for treasurer if they wish
" Volunteer can run for Vice President if they wish

Time Commitment: One day per month or as scheduled by the Coordinator, Volunteer Resources.
Orientation: An orientation to NL Health Services will be provided by the Coordinator, Volunteer Resources or designate. All volunteers are required to attend these orientations prior to beginning their volunteer assignment.
