The New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission (NBLASC) is seeking lawyers in our Saint John, Moncton, and Edmundston regions.

What you will do
Working with a team of lawyers who have a keen interest in criminal matters, you will be responsible for:
· providing criminal defense services in all levels of Court including defending offences under the Criminal Code of Canada, Controlled Drugs and Substance Act, Youth Criminal Justice Act, and other Federal statutes within the scope of services provided by NBLASC;
· participating in pre-trial preparation including interviewing witnesses and researching points of law; and
· providing assistance to senior lawyers on complex cases as required.

Need to have (Essential qualifications and skills)
· Bachelor of Law Degree
· Membership in good standing or eligibility for membership with the Law Society of New Brunswick
· Completion of Articling
Please state your date of admission to a Canadian Law Society.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required for some positions, while English competence is required for others. Please state your language capability.

Wage
$59,124 - $111,280 annually - NBLASC Lawyer Series pay plan
$112,398 - $147,264 Annually- NBLASC Senior Lawyer Series Pay Plan (8 years at bar to be eligible)
