Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Security, the successful candidate will work within the Information Security Division as an integrated team member responsible for the development, installation, administration, maintenance, lead analysis, troubleshooting, and testing of multiple Windows and Apple Operating System compatibility issues, with escalated tier two end-user support of Eastern Health's remote access solutions. These solutions provide staff, physicians, external private clinics, and vendors the ability to connect to email, clinical Meditech, PACS and other clinical applications while outside of the Eastern Health network using Pulse secure and virtual desktop technology with multi-factor authentication.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with high regard for patient safety, privacy, security controls, and customer service to fulfill the following responsibilities:

- Provide operational support and guidance for remote connectivity issues, providing issue resolution and recommendations for business processes, and is required to thoroughly document research, user interactions, and problem/fix in the service management help-desk software.
- Perform and assist with the analysis, development and testing of configurations and customizations ensuring usage and performance are optimized and aligned with clinical and business requirements.
- Perform analysis of minimum requirements for efficient connections.
- Works closely with system vendors, business owners, and other technical and non-technical teams to provide guidance and support for various project implementations requiring remote connectivity.
- Consult with external vendors and LAN Administrator on restricted server connection requirements. Create and maintain access restrictions as per Eastern Health security standards.
- Consult with end users and management to understand problems and requests and develop solutions by testing software and operating system options and compatibilities through changes to existing systems.
- Develop and maintain support procedures, and update system configuration documents, user documentation, and training guides.

This position will be located in the Eastern Health Region.

Job Demands

Occasionally lifts objects up to 25 lbs., as well as occasional standing, walking, driving, bending, kneeling, and stretching may be required.
Constantly performs fine finger/precision work while sitting and using a computer mouse.
Constantly requires visual concentration when troubleshooting, designing, debugging, and troubleshooting reports/forms/scripts.

Job Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized university with a Computer Science, Commerce, or Business degree supplemented by a diploma in Information Technology/Informatics, minimum one year (900 hours) duration, or from a recognized Technical College with a minimum three-year Computer Studies Diploma.
Three (3) years' recent experience with programming, systems analysis, and supporting large enterprise systems is required.
Certification in health information / informatics management would be considered an asset.
Working expertise and knowledge of Eastern Health's core enterprise systems
Experience collaborating with stakeholders within the health system.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
