The Director, Partnerships leads and oversee cultural segments partnerships in Wealth Management ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities for Global Wealth to develop a robust ecosystem of pre-/ post-arrival partnerships that supports potential clients in their transition
  • Work collaboratively with Canadian Banking and other teams across the Bank to coordinate on partnership opportunities for the new-to-Canada segment
  • Liaise with potential partners and other bank partners to determine agreements and terms, and successfully onboard partners
  • Work with internal partners to ensure bank processes can support partnerships, resolving any gaps in processes where required
  • Ensure strong controls and effectiveness of our internal referral process, aligning clients to the appropriate services across the Bank
  • Monitor data and performance of partnerships to ensure KPI's are being achieved
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Strong communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners and vendors.
  • At least 10+ years of professional working experience.
  • External network of partnerships or proven track record of strong relationship building
  • Experience building strategic partnerships and a proven ability to drive continuous improvements to achieve business goals.
  • You have a post-secondary education in Business
