Reporting to the Director, Partnerships, the Senior Manager is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the Canadian Wealth Management department supporting the strategy and initiatives for Scotiabank being the bank of choice for newcomers to Canada

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Lead, create and maintain database of partners in the Canada's cultural ecosystem. Dimensions include region, culture, profession, industry etc.
  • Gather and analyze relevant market information and data to support culture segments overall function and prioritize focus areas and opportunities.
  • Partner and build relationships with internal partners and cross functional leaders across Canadian Wealth Management, Canadian Banking and within Scotiabank Group to successfully compile relevant information to prioritize focus, and sustain growth of the overall function.
  • Partner and support Director, Partnerships to identify and develop compelling strategic partnerships to help grow the priority segment portfolio.
  • Create documentation of the Canadian Wealth Management business landscape and link to Scotia Wealth Management businesses / opportunities in partnership with Canadian Banking.
  • Identify emerging issues and market trends to inform decision-making of senior leadership.
  • Create material, present data and insights from identification of opportunities to getting buy-in from different stakeholders by line of business, region, and partners.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

  • 5-7 years relevant strategy, consulting, business roles in banking or client focused industries
  • Master's Degree considered an asset
  • Experience in banking industry an asset
  • Experience with market research
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze issues, effectively communicate findings, consolidate learning to develop strategies, and deploy tactics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent relationship development and management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Results oriented
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
