BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for an Accountant. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Charlottetown, PEI.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Participating in Accounts Payable activities including invoice posting, GRN management, payment preparation, supplier inquiries, filing, etc.
  • Reconciling corporate credit statements and preparing for AP entry.
  • Monitoring the accounting inbox and responding to, and distributing communication as required.
  • Coordinating Accounts Receivable activities including payment processing.
  • Coordinating the Cash Book function including bank deposit preparation, transaction posting, etc.
  • Responding to any internal/external requests for information.
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and recording the meeting minutes and major action items.
  • Booking training for staff and others as requested.
  • Entering manufacturing cost data in ERP system.
  • Purchasing order follow-up to confirm terms of orders (delivery dates, pricing, quantities, etc.) and updating the ERP system.
  • Supporting all department staff for planned and unplanned absences.

The successful candidate for this position should have:

  • Post-Secondary education.
  • Bookkeeping/accounting training or minimum 3 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with focus on Outlook and Excel.
  • Previous experience using ERP systems.
  • Experience with system process improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
