AYR Motor Express is currently seeking a Manager of Finance to join our team based in Woodstock, NB. With continued growth, the need to implement and improve processes is key to proper financial reporting and management. In this role, the incumbent will perform auditing, reporting, and implement process improvements by working closely with our Finance and Management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Improve and implement the financial policies, systems, and processes.
- Review and approve monthly income statement reports.
- Responsible for implementing and managing appropriate financial management processes.
- Maintenance of the General Ledger and its account structures.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and managing the overall financial reporting efforts of the organization.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Prepare financial forecasts to reflect current projections to plan.
- Audit payroll and accounting to ensure accuracy and best practices.
- Assisting the leadership team in making decisions through world-class reporting and financial discipline.
- Ability to switch gears and manage multiple finance or operations projects while delivering results on schedule.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related field 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- 4+ years of experience leading a financial team, ideally in a growing company.
- CPA or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent judgment and proven problem-solving skills.
- Desire and ability to take full ownership of projects and produce high quality work.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Strong research and planning skills required to provide support and guidance to the management team.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a "hands on" approach to managing the accounting and payroll functions.
- Knowledge of federal and provincial financial and taxation regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian accounting legislation and guidelines.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
