Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Trainer to join our Training Department. As a Trainer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective onboarding, development, and continuous education of our employees. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of training programs, creating educational materials, and delivering engaging training sessions. The ideal candidate is passionate about employee development, possesses excellent communication skills, and is adept at identifying and addressing training needs.

Qualifications:

  • WorkplaceNL certified trainer in Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection is considered an asset (I.e., Safety Orientation, lock-out tag out, permit to work, scaffold and portable ladders, etc.
  • Post-secondary education (diploma, certificate, or degree).
  • Possession of a 3rd or 4th class Power Engineering certification is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, especially in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with BRAYA's current operations units is considered an asset.
  • Self-initiative and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

By applying for this job, you acknowledge and understand that regular requirements and demands of this job include (but are not limited to):

  • Regularly lifts/moves object up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts/moves >50lbs. Push/Pulling forces up to 50lbs are required
  • Work repetitively involves reaching/stretching, bending, and twisting; regular standing, walking, and climbing
  • Use of gross and fine motor skills and maintaining physical balance (e.g., Ladders/scaffolding)
  • Work environments can present exposure to loud noises or environmental hazards
