The Faculty of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Education Program Administrator.

Responsabilités

Reporting to the Dean of Education, the Education Program Administrator provides operational recommendations to the Dean, the Director of Graduate Education and the Director of the Teacher Education about the coordination and administration required to facilitate and prioritize the short and long-term processes of the graduate and undergraduate education programs. The Education Program Administrator will:

  • In consultation with the Dean, Director of Graduate Education and the Director of Teacher Education, program coordinators and faculty, be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Faculty of Education timetable.
  • Appraise the Dean and Directors of operational demands, impending deadlines, and urgent matters and be involved in the planning of activities within the Faculty of Education.
  • Assemble statistical information and prepare reports as required and manage the flow of information with the Faculty of Education Office. This will require consultation with other departments of the University and occasionally other organizations.
  • Provide logistical support in the hiring of part-time faculty and to Program Assistants, particularly with the processing of admission files to the B.Ed program. Ensure deadlines are met and procedures followed.
Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor degree and a minimum of two (2) years of academic or administrative experience. The chosen candidate will have a strong ability to prioritize competing deadlines, recognize matters of relevance and complexity commitment to excellent customer service and dedication to building strong relationships. This person is a motivated team player and independent thinker. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and have an aptitude for, or previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague and SharePoint.
