We are currently in search of a Community Support Worker who will provide quality support for individuals in selected Senior Complexes by planning and implementing activities and programs.

Responsiblities include:

Implementing,evaluating and revising programs on an ongoing basis

Participating in group activities to stimulate individuals well being

Collaborate with other members of the program

Must be able to demonstrate an excellent attendance record

Excellent Communications skills

Document all pertinent information on progress notes and discuss with supervisor

Follow Infection Control policies and procedures

Report all unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor

Maintain confidentiality in all dealings

Seeks/participates in ongoing educational and training opportunities

Requirements:

Continuing Care Assistant Certification, or equivalent

Diploma from an accredited post-secondary educational institution:

2-year Therapeutic Recreation Diploma

Candidate with comparable healthcare education and/or caregiver related experience

Alzheimer's course certificate

Previous Alzheimer's experience

Previous recreational experience

Food Handlers certificate

Standard CPR and First Aid Level C certificate

Crisis Management certificate considered and asset

Must have regular and cosistent attendance
