OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our client's cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, best practices, and a strategic mindset to drive the cloud architecture vision that supports our business objectives .

WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS.
  • Lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to industry security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of AWS resources.
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and cloud resource optimization
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate AWS solutions with existing systems.
  • Design and implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and technologies.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Support incident response and root cause analysis for cloud-related issues.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years specifically focused on AWS.
  • Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch,sagemaker, dynmo db, bedrock, ecs, emr and api gateway.
  • Proficient in programming languages such aspython or java.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and database technologies.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of openshift, kafka, containerization using kubernetics, is a plus on prem
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
