ABO Wind Canada is seeking a dynamic full-time Senior Business Development Manager for Atlantic Canada, based in Halifax. The right individual will be a key contributor to our growing team in Atlantic Canada, working together with the local and international teams of ABO Energy. The successful candidate for this role is a passionate individual who identifies suitable partners for our solar, wind, battery and hydrogen projects. In collaboration with the team, this entrepreneurial individual will build a network of partnerships to ultimately take ownership of the projects we develop.

Senior Business Development Manager

Your Role

· Work closely with the local and international teams, specifically the development and the finance team

· Drive business needs for our projects in Atlantic Canada and identify development milestones based on partner and investor feedback

· Identify and develop opportunities with project partners including investors and First Nations communities

· Structure and negotiate agreements for collaboration with strategic partners

· Build a network of strategic partners (investors, utilities, hydrogen off-takers and ports etc.) and act as ABO's first point of contact for commercial discussions in Atlantic Canada.

· Represent ABO at private and public networking events to determine commercial path forward for our projects

· Identify and lead the team to new business opportunities and drive results


Your Profile

· 8+ years of applicable experience

· Entrepreneurial, a skilled negotiator and team player

· Graduated with a degree economics, finance, engineering or other applicable discipline

· Demonstrated experience identifying, implementing and leading business opportunities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - German or French are an asset

· Existing broad and diverse network within the energy industry

· Existing, or can develop, valued relationships with First Nations communities

· Located in Halifax or available to relocate to Halifax

· Committed to frequent and regular local and international travel
