Bay Side Home is a licensed long term care facility, located at 96 Bayside Drive in Barrington, which is home to Sixty-Two Residents.

We have a Casual Food Service Positions located at Bay Side Home in Barrington, Nova Scotia.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Dietician/Dietary Manager, Food Service is responsible for food preparation for resident meals; ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met. You work collaboratively with residents, their families and the Bay Side Home team to provide "Care at its Best".

In this role, you will:

• Assist in the planning and preparation of meals according to the provided recipes and menus.
• Deliver, serve and assist with meals and delivery of snacks to the neighborhood.
• Assist with preparation for special events as required.
• Assist with all food service related duties.
• Sanitize and maintain food safety standards in the home.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 required or equivalent.
• Food Handlers.
• Experience as a cook in a commercial setting is considered an asset.
• Experience in Long Term Care setting is considered an asset.
