The Role

As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Logistics Clerk to join our team of professionals at Connors Transfer in Woodstock, NB. This role will report to the Brokerage Manager. We are looking for a driven professional who takes initiative and has the ability to contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Coordinate all daily inbound/outbound shipments of material with our carrier partners to ensure shipments are completed as required. Responsible for the office paperwork and maintaining communications with our carriers, suppliers, custom brokers, receivers and others involved in the shipment of our customer's freight.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Review and verify shipment of material.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing material shipments.
  • Track shipments and input data into the company transportation management system (TMS).
  • Respond to customer service requests when necessary.
  • Assist with documentation collection and follow up.
  • Assist with organizing, compiling, and filing shipping information.
  • Create and maintain detailed records of inventories and shipments.
  • Prepare and send documents as required.
  • Monitor and track the progress of shipments.
  • Ensure accuracy of all paperwork and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising from shipments.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for carriers' partners, orders, and in-transit shipments.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational and customer service skills are a must.
  • The ability to meet sometimes short deadlines and to be detail-oriented are also essential.
  • A team player: work together to achieve the company's goals.
  • Understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems.
  • Managing daily routes/schedules of shipments.
  • Knowing all aspects of warehouse operations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work outside of the regular Monday - Friday workday when necessary.

Education/Experience

  • Post-secondary degree relevant to supply chain is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a shipping / warehousing and / or logistics.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
