True North Salmon, a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada's Best Managed Companies Program has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company's Quality Assurance Team based out of our facility located in our St. George, NB facility.

The Role

As a result of our robust growth, we are seeking an Operations Yield Specialist to join our Production and Maintenance teams in our St. George location.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor

The primary duties and responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Able to perform maintenance while production is running.
  • Able to change spare parts (based on training).
  • Standing for long periods of time, occasional climbing, lifting/carrying 1-15lbs., push/pull up to 10lbs.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends to do preventive maintenance to the machines based on preventive maintenance program. (Sharpening knives, greasing, and changing some spare parts).

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Must be mechanically inclined, and/or has electrical background.
  • Works well in a high demanding, deadline driven environment.
  • Has knowledge on how line/machines should run.
  • Has strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (word, excel) would be an asset, but training can be provided.
  • Respectful to other employees always.
  • Always keeps calm and level-headed in all situations.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Respectful to the Company and it's mission and values.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Works well in a busy production-based environment.
  • Manage conflicting priorities.
