We are seeking an Office Manager to join our People & Culture team supporting our people's experiences in our St. John's office for a full-time permanent position. Working closely with the Office Lead Partner for St. John's, this position is responsible for engaging and supporting high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and development.
Responsibilities
The Office Manager strives to promote office engagement through communication and relationship building. They are actively involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing learning & development of team members. The Office Manager will also provide support and leadership in special projects and/or key programs led by our People & Culture team. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement the Office Manager will support their office through change initiatives ensuring open communication and collaboration. They are an inclusive leader who values the insights and skills within a team and pulls on the strengths of each individual team member to ensure overall team success.
The Office Manager also oversees the day-to-day office administration activities including consultation with lawyers to plan and allocate resources, including scheduling and coverage, and developing new, innovative ways to conduct those activities. They oversee the overall day-to-day operational and financial responsibilities of the office such as maintaining and organizing office facilities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accounting processes are supported.
Qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you bring at least five years' experience in a human resource and/or people leadership role from a collaborative workplace and you have proven success in coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, change and relationship management. You have exceptional communication, relationship building and organization skills. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and experience improving and innovating processes. A post-secondary degree in business or human resources or a related field, a diploma or certificate in Human Resources is an asset. Experience in a law or professional services firm is considered an asset.
