Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, CVS, the Division Manager is accountable for planning, directing, and evaluating provincial services provided by the Cardiac Cath Lab. This is completed within available human and financial resources and in accordance with the mission and objectives of Eastern Health.
This position provides overall leadership in the administration of the division and recommends, formulates, implements, and evaluates polices, standards, procedures, and accountabilities according to legislation, professional guidelines, board policies and National recommendations. The manager is accountable for the quality of service, efficient resource utilization and patient flow. The position works with a great deal of autonomy and has primary accountabilities for all administrative and operational aspects of the division. The services included in this division are offered at two urban tertiary teaching acute care hospitals.
The Division Manager will work within the Eastern Health Leadership Framework with accountabilities to engage others and lead self, achieve results, develop coalitions, and implement systems transformations within the assigned areas of responsibility. These include working within the division's lines of business, fiscal and resource stewardship, managing and developing staff, effective communication, quality and risk management and health workplace management.
Job Qualifications
Education
A Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related discipline is required.
A Master's degree in the applicable area is preferred.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years progressive leadership and management experience in Adult Acute Care.
Experience in Cardiac/Critical Care would be considered an asset.
Experience working and/or managing in a cardiac cath lab environment considered an asset.
Competence and experience managing data and carrying out data analytics also considered an asset.
Experience with leading change management and process improvement would be considered an asset.

Knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

Current registration/licensure in the relevant professional association is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
