The opportunity

We currently have fantastic career opportunities for senior managers in our Canadian banking technology consulting team. We work collaboratively with some of the top executives in financial institutions of all sizes and scales, helping them create and realize solutions for the future of their business. Each project is different, so you'll need to be able to excel in ambiguous situations and confidently navigate ever-changing circumstances. We'll look to you to be a self-starter, have the ability to translate complex information into simple terms, manage teams, and deliver long-term solutions with confidence. On this team, you'll have the unique opportunity to imagine the future as well as create it, where you can craft ideas and implement them for our clients.

Your key responsibilities

As a senior manager, you will lead delivery of large, complex and strategic customer engagements, building trusted relationships and develop high performing teams. You will also be expected to identify new opportunities by understanding industry trends, client needs, lead sales processes, develop engagement economics and close deals.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Agile, growth-oriented mindsets. What you know matters. But the right mindset is just as important in determining success. We're looking for people who are innovative, can work in an agile way and keep pace with a rapidly changing world. Experience in business development or delivering against financial targets in a service-oriented context is a plus.
  • High-performance tech leaders. A strong track record of managing large teams delivering strategic technology-enabled transformations. Demonstrated team leadership experience in complex contexts, in addition to project management, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great communicators. Communication is key — we strive to bring our best interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, whether we're writing an e-mail, building a proposal, drafting an architecture diagram, or cutting code. It is required to be bilingual (French/ English) to work in the Montreal office.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience delivering transformation programs: Candidates should have a proven track record in program management (10+ years), having demonstrated through successful delivery of large programs with significant changes to technologies which are essential to supporting day-to-day business operations. This should include the design of the program delivery model and governance. Delivery of transformation programs in the Banking sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of core banking platforms. We're looking for individuals who have a strong functional and technical understanding of core banking systems and experience with next-gen platforms (e.g. Thought Machine, Mambu, 10X, FinXact), as demonstrated through previous delivery experience and vendor certifications. The preferred candidate will have experience lead delivery of one or more workstreams on a Core Banking replacement project involving a Gen 3 solution.
  • Strong understanding of Technology, migration, and integration patterns. Candidates should understand all technology components of a full stack transformation including pre-requisites to implement and sequence the implementation. Such components would include infrastructure (cloud), security, application, etc. The individual should also have an appreciation for options for migration approaches and enablement of new integrations patterns.
  • Experience and appetite for learning. We're looking for individuals with relevant experience or education in technology, engineering, solution architecture, financial services, or other related fields. Typically, successful candidates have 10+ years of experience delivering projects through strategy, design, build, test, and delivery.
  • Quality Management KPIs and Executive communications: The Candidate should have experience in designing robust reporting mechanisms to measure the quality of delivery across business and technology components. Demonstrated ability to:
    • Leverage tools which enable automation / live reporting is preferred.
    • Design mechanisms which allow effective and efficient tailoring of communications to difference audiences
