Licensed Practical Nurse - OPD
Temporary Call In
Location: Labrador West Health Centre

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Outpatients, the LPN in the Outpatient Department is responsible to provide clinical support to the healthcare providers in the operations of the outpatient clinics.
Qualifications:
" Graduation from high school supplemented by the successful completion of the Licensed Practical Nursing course;
" Ability to work independently;
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check;

Duties: (Included but not limited to)
" Assists all healthcare providers within the department;
" Assists all healthcare providers with procedures;
" Removal of suture, post op drains, and wound care;
" Complete EMR tasks as required;
" Order, mix and draw meds for physicians;
" Ensure all specimens are labelled and transported correctly;
" Monitor and assess vital signs, glucometer readings, etc;
" Administers meds as per provider orders;
" Ensures appropriate supplies and equipment is available for clinics;
" Performs other related duties.

Salary:

" CGHSL29 of the NAPE-HS Salary Scales, $29.62 to $32.62 per hour, plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.

Hours of Work:
" Monday to Friday; Variable shifts.
