Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Ninepenny Brewing, is seeking to fill the role of Taproom General Manager, in Conception Bay South, NL.

About Ninepenny Brewing

Ninepenny Brewing has become one of the go to spots for the residents of Conception Bay and surrounding areas. Ninepenny brewing is a premium craft brewery that was created by a group of friends who love community, science, and Beer!

Position Summary

Responsible for daily operations of the taproom, growing, and empowering the taproom team. Responsible for directly managing the taproom team, and ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to standards set out by Ninepenny Brewing.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Cash & Credit and tip management, including deposits, balances and allocating tips to team.
  • Scheduling of Taproom Team and managing shift schedules.
  • Inventory tracking and monitoring, reordering, and stocking.
  • Food preparation, including food safety standards.
  • Standardize operations based on best practices and industry standards.
  • Human Resources functions and processes
  • Customer Engagement & Event Planning/Scheduling
  • Beer knowledge of brands, flavors, profiles and pairings.
  • Maintain and clean draught lines.
  • Manage day-to-day taproom activities, including ensuring taproom has adequate support, training, staffing levels and tools to perform duties.

  • Problem solving including skills in planning & organization and ability to adapt.

  • Customer service skills including interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Management experience with leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry and commitment to improve.
