Responsibilities:
- Prepare job bids in a timely manner using suppliers' software.
- Complete estimating takeoffs.
- Schedule, prioritize, and manage Bid requests from assigned customers with Inside Sales Estimators.
- Send out and deliver quotations by phone, email and in person.
- Follow-up bids, pursue and secure orders.
- Prepare and verify submittals drawings based on current drawings and specifications.
- Confirm products, sizes and quantities required for completion of the project based on current documents, Site Instructions and Construction drawings.
- Meet with customers and assist as required on Design Build opportunities.
- Organize job files, contract and warehouse orders, and all necessary documentation for assigned customers working with Accounting and Warehouse management.
- Resolve all account conflicts and project issues in a timely manner.
- Tracking Orders/Deliveries and providing ETA to customers.
- Notify the customer when orders arrive and arrange delivery if required.
- Participate in job site product issues and resolutions with assistance from technical representatives.
- Consistently improve the quality of our service to meet clients' expectations and minimize costs and maximize the company's competitive position.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Willing to train with the right technical education and interest in the HVAC industry.
- 1-2+ years of experience required for a more junior sales role.
- University Engineering degree or College Technical Diploma or an equivalent number of years of experience in a similar business environment.
- 5+ years of field experience as a Tradesperson in place of a technical degree or diploma
- Ability to read Architectural and Mechanical drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a sales or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a comprehensive understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail with an interest in process improvement.
- The ability to prioritize and multitask and meet deadlines.
- Effective organizational and analytical skills.
- Desire to advance within the organization by taking on increasingly challenging tasks as well as supervisory functions.
- An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
