Job Summary
Reporting to the Provincial Director of Evaluation, within the Quality and Learning Health Systems Branch, the Program Evaluation Consultant will support the provincial and zonal program evaluation requirements of the organization. The Program Evaluation Consultant will work closely with the organization's leaders to undertake priority, strategically focused evaluation activities that inform the decision-making needs of the organization and foster a culture of quality and drive transformative change.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
Leading the planning and implementation of large-scale evaluation of provincial policies, programs and services, pilot projects, health transformation initiatives and digital health solutions within the province's health system.
Designing evaluation plans and frameworks.
Providing methods and tools for evaluation and ongoing performance monitoring.
Implementing and monitoring evaluation activities.
Identifying mitigating strategies, where needed, to ensure deliverables are completed as planned.
Consulting to advise provincial and regional partners on policy, program, and service issues.
Presenting evaluation findings and recommendations to health system officials.
Job Qualifications
Your education and experience include:
Master's degree in Applied Social Psychology, Health Services research, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of relevant evaluation experience.
Relevant experience would include but is not limited to:
Experience collaborating with stakeholders within the health system.
Experience with developing and implementing large scale evaluation projects.
Experience in application of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, techniques and analysis is essential.
Experience preparing comprehensive evaluation reports.
Knowledge and experience in continuous quality improvement would be considered an asset.
Experience in evaluating financial benefits from healthcare Quality Improvement (QI) and training in health economics evaluation would be considered an asset
