Business Systems Analyst - 6 to 12 Month Term

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Management and Business Analysis, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for being a liaison with stakeholders from various divisions, gathering and analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, and processes, and testing solutions to ensure the requirements and future state processes are met. This position requires an effective communicator who has initiative, is well organized, and has leadership skills that fosters working relationships to ensure business and technology requirements align and drive business value.

This is a 6-12 month term position.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders across different functional areas
  • Documenting current and future state business processes, including workflows and data flows
  • Developing use cases, user stories, and functional specifications to capture business requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure systems meet business needs
  • Conducting research and providing recommendations for new or emerging technologies that can improve business processes
  • Creating test plans and executing tests to ensure systems are functioning as intended
  • Creating user manuals and training materials to support system implementation and user adoption

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Well established facilitation and elicitation skills
  • Dependable with a great work ethic, demonstrated initiative, accountability, and an exceptional attitude
  • A self-starter, able to prioritize, stay organized and manage time and projects effectively
  • A dynamic and collaborative team player who works well with stakeholders from various levels and divisions
  • A champion of change who is inquisitive and thrives in problem solving and delivering business results through technology and improved processes
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) may be preferred
  • Experience in business process analysis, software development, and project management is also beneficial for this role
