LOCATION: Offshore Newfoundland, Canada
TYPE OF RIG: DP3 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible, Hercules
ROTATION: 28/28 while in NL
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Contract, Full Time
CONTRACT: Short Term Contract; Estimate Seven (7) Months
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: Four (4)

JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Roustabout shall lead the Roustabout's and AB's onboard in accordance with instructions given by the Marine Section Leader and/or Deck Foreman

PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 0.5 years previous experience as Lead Roustabout with 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
  • 2 years previous experience as Roustabout with 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
  • Structured and organized mindset
  • High level of integrity
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Roustabout will give assistance to Deck Foreman, Crane Operators and Roustabouts in duties on deck when required.
  • Lead Roustabout shall perform work relating to operations/maintenance and repairs on the platform and loading/unloading of equipment and materials, etc.
  • Lead Roustabout shall assist during transport and preparation for/performance of drilling operations.
  • Lead Roustabout shall always comply with job instructions and be flexible in the position.
  • Lead Roustabout is responsible for the safe and efficient performance of work and reporting back to Deck Foreman.
  • loading/unloading of vessels.
  • loading/unloading of containers.
  • cleaning/clearing up/painting.
  • maintenance work following routines in maintenance system.
  • laying out/measuring of equipment
  • moving of equipment
  • crane flagging / operations.
  • assisting other disciplines as required
  • fire watching as required.
  • helideck duties
  • participate in emergency training.
  • take care of required documentation handling (manifests, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
