Personal Care Attendant - OPD
Temporary Call In
Location: Labrador City, NL

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager of Outpatients, the Personal Care Attendant is responsible to help support patient navigation and provide clinical support to the Outpatient department at Labrador West Health Centre.
Qualifications:
" Graduation from high school.
" Completion of the Personal Care Attendant course, or equivalent training.
" Ability to work independently.
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Duties: (Included but not limited to)
" Contact patients as instructed by healthcare providers.
" Assist with ordering of supplies.
" Assist providers with clinical needs, i.e., chaperoning.
" Stock all provider exam rooms.
" Transport specimens to the lab.
" Collect vital signs inclusive of height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, heart rate and blood glucose as required by providers.
" Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients as directed.
" Monitor and complete LPN/PCA task list in EMR.
" Transport patients as necessary.
" Performs other related duties.

Salary:

" CGHSP24 of the NAPE-HS Salary Scales, $23.86 to $26.18 per hour, plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.

Hours of Work:
" Variable shifts.
