Your Contribution

Protostatix Engineering Consultants, an Englobe Company, is a structural engineering firm operating continuously throughout the Prairies for over 30 years with a strong focus on the Alberta marketplace.

With a practice including residential, commercial, and industrial structures, in a variety of building materials, Protostatix prides itself on providing innovative and cost-effective structural solutions to our clients, as a medium-sized, Alberta-based company our focus is on helping our employees reach their full potential and grow their role with our firm as they develop the necessary skill sets to progress professionally.

Protostatix, is looking for their next Structural Engineering Technologist to join our office in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare engineering drawings
  • Preparing and modifying drawings during design and construction. Ensuring structural drawings and specifications meet established Project criteria and applicable standards.
  • Assisting in the preparation of functional, preliminary and detailed design drawings.
  • Design drafting using AutoCAD, REVIT, and MS office with excellent general computer skills
  • Participate in the production of construction document for structural projects.
  • Communication and coordination with other sub consultants and members of the Project team.
  • Read and interpret blueprints/drawings
  • And other miscellaneous duties, as required

Your Profile

  • Completion of civil engineering technology diploma from an accredited school is required.
  • Equivalent experience or education may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ideally in the consulting industry.
  • Working experience and knowledge in recent and current versions of AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Office with excellent general computer skills is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are required.
