STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING
The Strategic Communications & Marketing Office (SCM) plays a significant role in supporting the university's strategic vision, direction, and mission. It is a bi-campus team responsible for advancing and elevating UNB's reputation through insight-focused and performance-driven brand leadership, communications, marketing, public relations, creative services, media relations and issues management.

Salary Range: $54,388 - $70,711 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Internal Communications Strategist focuses on the effective and strategic flow of information to internal audiences (faculty, staff and students). This position supports change initiatives through communications, nurtures culture and builds employee engagement.
- Review UNB's internal communications tools to ensure the most effective communication with students, faculty and staff.
- Manage all internal communications channels, including newsletters, MyUNB news, special announcements, etc.
- Manage the development of internal content deliverables through work assignments, workback schedules, reviews and approvals based on SCM priorities and deadlines.
- Work with key organizational stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear and consistent.
- Engage with all units to create relevant and inspirational content to strategically support institutional goals.
- Mentor communications officers and SCM coordinators on internal communications strategies and best practices.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Undergraduate degree in a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of related experience in the field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Superior writing, editing and copy-editing skills.
- Ability to develop and execute the internal communications strategy, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics.
- Deep understanding of communications planning, practices and techniques.
