Clinical Psychologist III, Permanent Full-TimeMental Health & Addictions Services - FACT Team, Facility to be determined, Gander
Definition of work: The Clinical Psychologist III works closely with other FACT team members and provides a full range of clinical direction, psychological assessment, diagnosis, consultation and treatment services. The successful candidate will be involved in assessing and diagnosing the individual's needs, abilities and behaviors using a variety of methods, including, interviews, direct observation and psychometric testing. The Clinical Psychologist III provides a range of psychotherapy and may be a primary service provider/case manager.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Participates in FACT morning meetings;
* Conducts home visits when necessary;
* Provides oversight on clinical or psychological assessments and intervention;
* Works closely with FACT team members to integrate assessment findings and assist in the development of treatment plans;
* Provides cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and other evidence-based approaches, as appropriate;
* Offers individual and group-based therapy focused on symptom management, psychosocial functioning and goal attainment;
* Provides psychoeducation to individuals and families;
* Travel throughout the region will be required; and
* Other duties as required.
The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Required qualifications:
* Graduate or Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working with clients with mental health and/or addictions needs within the last 7 years.
* Registered or eligible for registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Examiners in Psychology.
* Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written.
* Proven effective assessment, intervention, and evaluation for complex population.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of interdisciplinary team.
* Satisfactory Child, Youth and Family Services Records Check.
* Use of a private vehicle and valid driver's license are a condition of employment.

* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
* A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.

Hours of work: 75 hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)
Salary: CG-46 ($47.77-$56.45) Market differential also available
