Salary range: $41,966.21 to $46,954.52 annually
This is a designated competition open to Mi'kmaq and other Indigenous/Aboriginal peoples and/or Women.
Working in a team environment with primary reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services, and secondary reporting the Manager, Student Services, you will:
Provide a full range of administrative support services to the A'paqt Project. The A'paqt Project supports female and Indigenous students' training for careers in the Marine Industry.
Track student awards, prepare cheque requisitions, check student account entries, receipt payments, prepare invoices, submit help desk tickets, answer incoming calls, provide support to students and assist with their inquiries, process refund requests, collect overdue accounts, enroll students, run queries, compile student data and work with student records.
Provide general office support to campus operations as required.
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, email and database systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.
You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
You have PeopleSoft Student Finance skills and experience.
Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
Accounts receivable experience would be considered an asset.
