Englobe (Formerly Arrow Engineering) is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to work out of the Saskatoon office.

As a member of the Mechanical Engineering division, the Project Manager has shared responsibility for the performance and success of our mechanical engineering team, and firm, respectively.

Your Contribution

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will work in collaboration with the Mechanical Design Team.

  • Require to have HVAC design experince in comercial, and muti-dwelling buildings.
  • Actively participates in all projects, providing leadership, client input/feedback, and general direction
  • Working with the design team on the project, develops and monitors mechanical design strategies for building construction to ensure efficient and sustainable project delivery
  • Successfully develops relationships with clients, industry affiliates, engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction personnel
  • Manages all aspects associated with client relationship management and project service delivery
  • Meet with clients regarding projects, progress reporting, and the resolution of issues, as required
  • Oversees the entire project life cycle, from preliminary services through project implementation, including coordination of administrative and financial aspects
  • Coordinates the preparation of engineering specifications and drawings, quantity and opinions on probability of cost
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring the mechanical drawings and specifications meet established project criteria and applicable standards
  • Develops standards related to our mechanical engineering practice, ensuring best practices for project management and delivery
  • Utilization of industry specific software and related technologies in design and analysis
  • Preparation of reports, proposals, and tender/bid submissions, budgets, project plans, and other supporting documentation, as required
  • When necessary, involvement with a variety of agencies for project approvals and permitting purposes
  • Estimating and scheduling of projects, including close out review, and update / maintenance of company-related data and resources
  • This position will report directly to the Principal or Senior Engineer, work independently, and with minimal supervision, while working in collaboration with various colleagues and external partners. The incumbent will actively pursue and influence the development of new business while offering leadership to a professional team working on various mechanical engineering projects represented by a broad range of client sectors. The work environment is of high volume, offering a range of project complexities and requires a high level of responsibility.

Your Profile

  • Required to have a P.Eng. from a recognized post-secondary institution, in the area of mechanical HVAC design (Engineering, CAD Design, Technologies, or Project Management). LEED Accreditation and experience with sustainable design initiatives is considered an asset.
  • 5 to 10 years of direct experience in mechanical design engineering for commercial and institutional buildings or equivalent experience and responsibilities is required. A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, along with AutoCAD drafting experience are required. Experience with Revit would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling and composition, as well as oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, energetic and action-oriented
  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member, within a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Effectively manages a variety of projects and/or initiatives, often occurring simultaneously
  • Able to balance work and personal requirements
  • Sense of humour
  • Enjoys working in a professional office environment, with occasional client and/or site visits, and is able to work outside of normal business hours, when necessary
