Under the direct supervision of the Director Payroll, Technology Solutions and Analytics, the Payroll Administrator prepares student/casual/part-time/full-time payroll for a population of over 2000. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers by email, phone, in person and virtually; maintains strict confidentiality. Works collaboratively with other Human Resources employees to ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of Human Resources/Payroll Services. Provides excellent customer service. Works collaboratively with the Human Resources team to ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of Human Resources/Payroll services, both in person and virtually. Ability to work virtually and on site as required.
Group affiliation for this position is with the Administrative, Professional & Confidential (APC) Group. The position is evaluated at a Group 3 (salary scale $44,875 - 57,835). Salary scale can be viewed here.

To be the successful Payroll Administrator you will possess community college courses equivalent to 1-year post-high school education and Payroll Compliance Legislation and Payroll Fundamentals 1 courses, as offered by the National Payroll Institute (required). You will also possess a minimum of 1 year of directly related work experience. Additional requirements include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written; successful record of teamwork in a high volume work environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities; excellent computer/keyboarding skills (in both speed and accuracy) using an integrated computerized payroll system, Word, Excel, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) software and Crystal Reports; and superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
