We are the Maritimes' John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you.We are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Service Manager at our Sydney, NS location.

Purpose:
The Service Manager will direct and organize the service team to maximize performance and maintain customer satisfaction in a busy branch environment.
As a leader of service operations in the agricultural and powersports industry, the Service Manager will
- Maintain a safe environment and ensures customer satisfaction by enforcing company policies, processes and procedures.
- Successfully communicate job expectations, monitor job results and coach employees to achieve optimal results
- Ensure all manufacturer warranty procedures are followed by service department staff.
- Utilize business systems to create and monitor work/repair orders
- Main point of contact for both customers and sales department when scheduling repairs, creating quotes and providing status updates.
- Create schedules and staffing requirements, and assign jobs based on priority and technical skill set
- Monitor department efficiencies, operational budget, and expenses.
- Actively participates in recruiting, staffing and development of training plans for all service department staff.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Above average computer skills, preferably with experience using Microsoft Office.
- 2-3 years experience in supervisory role (Shop Foreman, Lead Hand, Supervisor, etc.) or equivalent.
- A proven ability to effectively communicate with team members to achieve desired results.
- A basic understanding of service department financials, and the capability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
- Experience in the powersports, agricultural, heavy equipment, or related industry considered an asset.
