The Cove Guest Home is currently seeking Casual Licensed Practical Nurses. The LPN is responsible for the delivery of various resident care activities and assigned nursing procedures necessary in caring for the Holistic needs of each resident. All care is in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of the Cove Guest Home to maintain a high degree of quality resident care.

Must be able to demonstrate an excellent attendance record.

Adheres to organizational policy and procedures.

Administer medications as per Cove Policy/Protocol.

Adapts to change and is open to new tasks and technologies.

Motivates self to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Communicates effectively with others including residents, co-workers, management, families and the general public.

Adheres to organizational documenting and reporting policies.

Demonstrates leadership in mentoring and supervising.

Actively seeks opportunities for personal learning and professional development.

Follows appropriate chain of command when resolving work place issues.

Is flexible in handling changes in service demands in a constantly changing work environment.

Completed two year diploma as licensed practical nurse from accredited college.

Current registration with Nova Scotia College of Nurses (NSCN)

Certification in Level "C" CPR/ First Aid required.
