Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Move machinery as necessary to dismantle, repair and/or adjust as needed
• Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails
• Constructs foundation for machines
• Operates lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
• Remove, repair and install hydraulic components or systems
• Rigging and material handling
• Repair and maintenance of pneumatic components and tools

Requirements

• Formal millwright apprenticeship with certificate (443A license)
• Previous experience in the concrete and/or construction industry considered an asset
• Ability to handle very physically demanding work
• Must be willing to work long shifts and extra hours
• Must have excellent communication skills to ensure any urgent matters, machinery defects, malfunctions and any safety concerns are promptly communicated to peers and Supervisor
