If you are looking for a dynamic organization this is the opportunity for you. We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Saint John, NB.
The ideal candidate must be a proven leader with the ability to proactively plan and multitask. This is a position that required a strong understanding of centralized purchasing and inventory management combined with the desire to develop and maintain relationships both internally and extremally.
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Grow, develop and manage contracts and supplier relationships
  • Lead negotiation strategies with suppliers
  • Research and implement strategies for increasing supply chain efficiency
  • Identify cost savings opportunities including supplier rebates and discount programs
  • Continuously monitor suppliers, contracts, and supplier price fluctuations and update relevant departments regarding changes
  • Identify potential new suppliers as needed
  • Improve KPIs like inventory turnover and obsolete inventory value as well as managing inventory budgets
  • Provide prompt and accurate pricing and delivery lead time quotations to stakeholders
  • Work with Sales, Service, and Construction teams to ensure all required materials are received on time to meet project and customer deadlines
  • Work with remote warehouses across Canada in a centralized distribution approach
  • Lead the implementation of systems and processes which support collaboration and team effectiveness
  • Manage the purchasing and inventory team including training, reporting and performance evaluations
  • Oversee team functions such as issuing purchase orders, receiving and put away, and inventory counts

Suitable candidates will meet the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain Management or a similar combination of education and relevant experience
  • 10 years of purchasing experience
  • Strong problem solver, seeking information from diverse sources
  • Experience in development and implementation of effective procurement strategies, including policies, procedures, processes, computer systems, and internal control
  • Experience with a centralized distribution warehouse approach to allocating inventory to remote warehouses and mobile warehouses
  • Experience in providing professional advice, assistance and direction to staff at all levels
  • Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft office suite (Excel). Experience with Dynamics Great Plains is considered an asset
  • Additional procurement related certifications would be considered an asset
