PAL Aerospace is a proud partner of Airbus Defence & Space for the Government of Canada's Fixed Wing Search and Rescue aircraft replacement (FWSAR) program. PAL Aerospace is responsible for FWSAR In Service Support (ISS) ranging from working alongside DND at 1st line to performing at Depot level the maintenance not undertaken by Royal Canadian Air Force Squadrons. PAL's Depot level work also includes the embodiment of aircraft modifications and the conduct of Special Inspections.

In an effort to expand our current team, PAL Aerospace is currently looking for a Technical Material Manager located in Ottawa, ON.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and managing the end-to-end supply chain
- Initial Parts List (IPL) and spares consumption monitoring - coordinating the demand and resupply of spares, inventory optimization as well as the enforcement of supply discipline. This includes Reorder Point (ROP) management
- Monitoring daily operations at each MOB and the MRO/CW to ensure the ready availability of all items required to effectively support the FWSAR fleet
- Ensuring the delivery of required materiel IAW the appropriate quality standard
- Monitoring/managing inbound & outbound transportation throughout the network, as necessary, including liaison with transportation service providers
- AOG oversight and management as required (for both domestic & international shipments)
- Ensuring the fulfillment of contractual requirements (with Supply Chain Specialist)
- R&O management including processing repair order requests from the MOBs/MRO-CW
- Monitor quality rejections and follow-up as necessary
- Checking warranties and collecting or issuing warranty claims (as applicable)
- In close cooperation with LCMMs perform the following tasks:
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Technical diploma and/or relevant military training and experience will also be considered
- Bachelors' Degree in a relevant field
- 3 years' experience in a relevant aerospace In-Service support position
- Experience in effectively analyzing life cycle data to direct the disposition of spare asset
- Strong operational IT knowledge
- Experience in a technical or highly analytical environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Critical thinker with careful consideration for detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of airworthiness regulations (Technical Airworthiness Manual) is an asset
- Knowledge of DRMIS is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite of software products
- Must be able to attain Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to travel within Canada and internationally as required.

- Operate sensor equipment such as airborne maritime radar and forward looking infrared systems (FLIR)
- Maintain a tactical picture, conduct in-flight planning, and operate navigational sensors pertaining to target positioning on flight surveillance missions
- Operation of Electro-Optic/Infrared (EO/IR) sensors to detect and identify sea, air, and land contacts
- Compile and record all information during flight surveillance missions
- Provide information to surveillance crew members as to the location, distribution, and identification of targets detected during flight surveillance missions
- Knowledge of airborne navigation
- Experience operating radio and satellite communication systems
- Knowledge of electronic navigation and chart plotting
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of digital photography
- Experience with use of maritime radar functions and FLIR operations is considered an asset
- Experience operating airborne surveillance sensors such as multi-mode radar and EO/IR would be considered an asset
- Previous experience as flight crewmember on an aircraft is considered an asset
- Previous experience in a similar military role is considered an asset
- Effective verbal and written communication; takes client-focused approach
- Proficient in the use of various computer systems and programs
- Able to meet medical testing requirements
- Must be able to obtain required security clearances
