Course Title: MUSI 2063 P3 - Music of the Worlds
Contract Term: May 31, 2021 to June 18, 2021 (Spring - Open Acadia)
Course Schedule: Mondays through Fridays, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Employee Group: Acadia University Faculty Association

Course Description: This course is an introduction to some of the principal musical traditions from five regions of the world: India, The Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia. Each class will provide participants the opportunity to listen deeply and discuss ideas about music and culture. A hands-on component will complement each unit. Open to students from all academic disciplines.

Note: Candidates should be prepared to teach this course using synchronous and asynchronous on-line and/or remote delivery platforms.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree. Previous university teaching experience is considered an asset.
