Starting rate is $14.00/hr with opportunities for growth and promotion.
Continued growth has created a need for Packers/Operators.
Responsabilités
Packers are responsible for:
- Ensuring the finished package of each item produced is intact and properly sealed against external contamination.
- Ensuring the printed lot code on each package is proper and legible before casing the product for stock or shipment.
- Ensuring questionable packages are set aside for rework or disposal throughout the day.
- Shutting down any line if there are safety or food safety risks evident and to report these to the Supervisor.
Operators are responsible for:
- Completing line pre-operational checks and documentation, checking throughout the run that ingredients are running properly to ensure consistent end-product and good manufacturing processes are being undertaken.
- Places hold stickers on finished pallets for positive release purpose and holding any packages that cause concern
- Shutting down any line if there are safety or food safety risks evident and to report this immediately to the Supervisor.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- High School diploma
- One to two years' work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong communication skills - especially reading
- Ability to be able to lift 30 pounds for women and 50 pounds for men (55 pounds for some items)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable work ethic

- Commitment to following rules and policies
