Lounsbury Miramichi has an immediate opening for a Dealership Accountant.

The Dealership Accountant provides support to the General Manager, sales team and other departments in the dealership by completing the accounting and bookkeeping activities within the dealership. The Accountant also processes the administrative tasks with the purchasing cycle of the vehicle.

Responsabilités
  • Payable control: administer cheques, pay dealers (for trades), coordinate payment from financial institutions
  • Posting of all invoices to our sales system
  • Post journal entries on a monthly basis
  • Posting new & used sales contracts and make claims for dealership incentives, extended warranties, and trade-in deals
  • Requires the completion of numerous routine reports for the dealership, including the Warranty Claims Register, daily Operating Report, and monthly Cash Flow Statement
  • Conduct basic financial analyses
  • Reconciles accounts at the end of the month
  • Participates in discussions with department managers to assist them in achieving their respective department objectives
  • Maintains the most up-to-date profit-and-loss information available within the dealership
  • Maintain accounting files, sales contracts, financing contracts, funding contracts
Qualifications
  • Completed a post-secondary accounting program at college or university level
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exercises good judgment and organizational skills
  • Must be capable of working independently, effectively managing his or her time and work flow
  • Must have a high level of confidentiality
