Clearwater Seafoods' Payroll department requires a full time permanent Payroll Clerk in Lunenburg, NS.

Purpose of Position:

This position is responsible to complete the timely and accurate processing of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for both unionized and non-unionized employees.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to: Payroll Manager

Responsabilités

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare payroll for submission
  • Manage any employee changes/updates
  • Account Reconciliations - Prepare and Process Journal Entries
  • Generate Blue Cross billing
  • Code invoices for payment from benefit providers and coordinate approvals
  • Complete Workers Compensation requirements
  • Coordinate compensation increases
  • Coordinate RRSP requirements
  • Coordinate bonus related transactions
  • Support any audit requests

Qualifications:

  • PCP certification or willingness to obtain, and/or combination of relevant work experience,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Strong knowledge of Excel
  • ADP payroll software and/or SAP user knowledge is an asset
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Experience with ADP payroll system and or SAP, would be an asset
