Job Summary:
Our client has a great opportunity for an Administrative Operations Manager, reporting to the Director of Facility Operations, working with various internal and external stakeholders. You will have to align with Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Security, Health & Safety to set standards and facilitate coordination between facility level and company-wide protocol and strategy. Salaried Position -Work location in Stellarton NS- Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, this position will require after hours or extended hours based on activity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage effectiveness of activities conducted by the Administration team to ensure compliance with regulatory framework
  • Oversee Administration team to ensure assigned targets are achieved, tasks are distributed effectively, deliverables are documented, and necessary completion timelines are achieved
  • Develop, review and improve administrative systems, policies and procedures
  • Conduct personal development and performance management planning for the Administration team including ongoing proficiency training and smooth onboarding
  • Maintain and promote a positive work environment through collaborative discussions and team communications
  • Work with the Accounting team to ensure facility financial statements are delivered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Oversee Human Resources hiring, employee relations and performance management procedure are being conducted in accordance with regulatory framework
  • Ensure cultivation plan is communicated and adhered to by all necessary facility personnel
  • Analyze and develop opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity across all processes whilst remaining consistent with all company policies
  • Investigate issues and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years supervising / management experience
  • Experience working in either manufacturing or agricultural environment
  • General knowledge in Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Security and Health and Safety
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
  • Sense of urgency and responsibility to meet delivery schedules
  • Ability to work in fast paced and growing environment
  • Strong organizational skills having managed multiple employees and teams
  • Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail
  • Analytical process reviews and able to prepare documents
  • Must have good judgement and discretion, sensitivity to confidential matters is required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to think strategically and problem solve
