Controller
Our Manufacturing client is searching for a Controller to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle accounting and finance operations, managing all day-to-day finance activities, including inventory monitoring, treasury functions, financial reporting, and cash flow. A successful candidate will be tasked with identifying operational efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and potential grants or incentives to support the company's growth initiatives. This is a hybrid opportunity and provides work life balance.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Complete full cycle accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Monitor inventory movements and costing, working closely with operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury activities
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making
  • Explore and recommend operational efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities and other financial incentives
  • Ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements
  • Optimize and leverage the ERP system for maximum efficiency in accounting and reporting
  • Serve as a business partner to leadership, providing financial insights to drive the company's growth
Your strengths include:
  • CPA Designation is preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cash management, and full cycle accounting
  • Experience with modern, cloud-based ERP systems is a strong asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently
  • Entrepreneurial spirit – comfortable in a growing, evolving, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
