Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimator Coordinator to join our team. The Estimator Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating department by assisting with project management, negotiating contracts, and ensuring accurate and timely estimates. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Analyze project scope and develop detailed take-offs
- Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids
- Track bid results and provide feedback to the estimating team
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and correspondence
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure smooth handover from estimating to construction phase
Skills:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates and bid packages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
