Summary

This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Leader. The qualified individual will be responsible for cultivating, growing, and managing a high-quality value-added industrial product line to all targeted end-users through a select distribution network. Minimum expectations include meeting or exceeding all sales growth objectives and profitability goals, along with controlling expenses within a designated territory or market. This individual must also successfully monitor industry trends to identify new and emerging markets and develop corresponding sales strategies to expand revenues within those markets.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate, grow, and manage an existing customer base within the territory.
  • Consistently meet or exceed all sales growth and profitability goals annually.
  • Develop a selective distribution network to support all end-user business growth opportunities within the territory's various target markets.
  • Organize and conduct targeted distributor sales meetings and training to increase product knowledge and new market opportunities.
  • Enhance, maintain, and utilize a CRM database (Salesforce) for accurate reporting of all account information and personnel data.
  • Execute and utilize MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Identify, target, and develop new market end-user opportunities within the territory consistently (prospecting).
  • Utilize excellent written, verbal, and listening skills to understand customer needs and communicate effectively to all levels of the customer base.
  • Demonstrate a mechanical or technical skill set to showcase the superior performance, cost savings, and overall value proposition of our product line.
  • Respond and follow up on all sales leads and inquiries promptly, using any appropriate manner (e.g., phone calls, email, fax).
  • Submit all sales reports and special project requests accurately and timely.
  • Attend and represent the company at various trade shows and open house events both regionally and nationally.
  • Communicate all relevant competitor and market information, both written and verbal, to the National Sales Manager.
  • Overnight travel required up to 50% - 75% of the time.
  • Complete all special projects in a timely manner as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree (BS or BA) is preferred but not required.
  • 5 - 10 years of industrial field sales experience; distribution knowledge is preferred.
  • Must be ethical, personally driven, and a self-starter.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness and desire to succeed in all facets of the business.
  • Excellent listener with outstanding written and verbal communication skills for all customer base levels (C-level executives to floor-level employees).
  • Ability to formulate, develop, and execute a strategic business plan.
  • Possess a mechanical or technical skill set to accurately demonstrate our overall value proposition.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of the territory and strong presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively control and manage all business expenses.
  • Proficient in CRM databases, MS Office, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% - 75% of the time.
  • Valid Driver's License / Passport required.
